Group Operations
Group Operations is building a world-class operations platform for the Zurich Group. By managing Global Business Services, IT, Sourcing & Operational Improvement, Project Management Office and Internal Consulting under one global umbrella, Group Operations provide efficient and high quality shared services to our business segments in all geographies.
Through this global approach we strengthen our core functions and make the same level of expert knowledge and skills available where they are most needed. Such measures ultimately make our businesses more flexible and more capable in delivering one consistent Zurich experience for our customers while contributing significantly to business outcomes and expense-reduction efforts.
Group Operations is also the Group-wide owner and driver of Zurich’s transformation effort, coordinating change and providing critical capabilities, notably through The Zurich Way (TZW). TZW, our headline transformational program since 2004, has been repositioned in 2011 to further enhance the way we work, connect and collaborate at Zurich. Our people have great ideas to improve the way we work, and TZW offers a simple mechanism to share those ideas, whether they are for a new product, a new service, or a smarter process.
Since its relaunch in summer 2011, TZW has established a global network with experts from all functional areas. At the core of this effort is the TZW Exchange, an intranet-based knowledge platform that fosters collaboration and engagement across the enterprise. The TZW Exchange helps us to identify best practices throughout the Group, avoiding unnecessary duplication of effort. Beginning in 2012, TZW will be elevated to a higher level by further embedding best practice sharing to manage corporate knowledge in a standardized and reusable way.
